SoftWave Shockwave Therapy

FDA-cleared, non-invasive and drug-free. Electro-hydraulically generated sound waves that support the body's own healing, without surgery, needles or medication.

Chapter 01

Sound waves, not surgery

SoftWave is FDA-cleared, non-invasive and drug-free. It uses electro-hydraulically generated sound waves instead of a scalpel or a needle, and there's no medication involved at any point in the visit.

The device generates the wave outside the body and directs it to the area that needs work. Nothing is injected and nothing is cut, which is the whole appeal for a lot of people who would rather try this before they consider surgery.

What the waves are doing

The sound waves are meant to activate the body's own healing response. The stated effect is that they stimulate stem-cell activity in the treated area, which is what supports tissue regeneration without surgery, needles or medication.

The benefits described are pain relief, reduced inflammation and faster healing. None of that happens the moment the device is switched off, but it also doesn't require the body to work with anything foreign introduced into it.

Chapter 03

Available at two of our three offices, not the third yet

SoftWave is currently offered at the Collierville/Germantown and Memphis offices only. It isn't yet available at the Southwind office on Winchester Road, so if that's your usual stop, plan your SoftWave visit for one of the other two instead.

Dr. Dave Kellenberger and Dr. Reed Johnson see patients at the Germantown office. Dr. Philip Berardi is at the Memphis office on Summer Avenue. Either is a straightforward call to book.

What patients tell us afterward

Many patients notice improvement after their first visit. That's what patients report to us, not a guarantee or a stated success rate, and what changes from one visit to the next depends on what's actually being treated.

A single visit is rarely the whole plan. Like most of what we do here, SoftWave gets folded into a treatment plan built around the specific issue, not sold as a one-time fix.
