For a nerve under pressure

Sciatica Treatment

Lower back pain that runs down one leg, numbness or tingling into the foot, a leg that feels weaker than the other. Individualised care that finds where the pressure is coming from, not just where it hurts.

Chapter 01

Naming what's actually happening

Sciatica rarely stays in the back. It shows up as lower back pain that runs down one leg, numbness or tingling that reaches into the leg or foot, and a leg that starts to feel noticeably weaker than the other.

It's also often worse specifically when sitting, and standing or walking starts to feel like something to plan around rather than just do. Naming it as sciatica, rather than just a bad back day, changes where the exam starts.

Finding the cause, not just chasing the leg

Care here is individualised, starting with locating where along the nerve the pressure is actually coming from. The leg pain is a symptom of that, not the problem on its own.

Two people can describe the exact same tingling down the exact same leg and need two different treatment plans, once the assessment is done properly rather than guessed at.

Chapter 03

Where decompression and adjustment meet

Both decompression therapy and spinal adjustment are relevant here, because a nerve under pressure usually has two things going on at once: a mechanical crowding around the disc, and an alignment issue behind it.

Decompression works as a gentle stretch that opens space between the discs and takes pressure off the nerve. Adjustment addresses the alignment that let the crowding happen in the first place. Which one leads, and for how long, comes out of the assessment rather than a fixed routine.

When walking already feels hard, and what a first visit looks like

By the time most people book, standing or walking is already something they're working around. The first visit is built to assess and locate the source of the pressure without asking anyone to push through it to get there.
